
Jennifer Pilling began her career as a piano teacher as a teaching assistant to a neighborhood piano teacher when she was only 13 years old. She began her own studio two years later at the age of 15. Her students have reached high levels of musical and technical achievement on the instrument.
Jennifer Pilling earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Brigham Young University in 2008. Her professional credentials in the field include private studies with University of Utah Professor Bonnie Gritton (2000 - 2003) and private studies with Brigham Young University Professor Jeffery Shumway (2003 - 2008). She has studied piano pedagogy with Dr. Irene Peery-Fox (Teacher of all 5 of the 5 Browns). Jennifer Pilling has been rated a Superior Pianist by the National Federation of Music Clubs four consecutive years. She has placed in several competitions including the Joy Robin, Utah State Fair, and University of Utah Summer Arts. She has performed in the Governor's Mansion, the Assembly Hall on Temple Square, and the Madsen Recital Hall at BYU. She has also accompanied various church and high school choirs as well as various soloists.
