Jennifer Pilling earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Brigham Young University. She has had the opportunity to study privately with University of Utah Professor Bonnie Gritton and Brigham Young University Professor Jeffery Shumway. In addition she had several semesters of Piano Pedagogy with Irene Perry-Fox. Jennifer is also very active in the Utah Music Teacher's Association. She is currently serving as the Achievement in Music chairperson for the Sandy Chapter. She is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music. In addition to her work with UMTA, Jennifer is currently studying the Suzuki philosophy with Cleo Brimhall and is an active member of the Suzuki association.
Jennifer Pilling began her career as a piano teacher as a teaching assistant to a neighborhood piano teacher when she was 13 years old. She began her own studio two years later at the age of 15. Her students have reached high levels of musical and technical achievement on the instrument and regularly participate and place in local festivals and competitions. Jennifer currently maintains a studio in South Jordan, UT.
